Dhaka: The home ministry has announced the transfer of seven police officers holding the rank of superintendent of police (SP) to new assignments across different stations. “The transfer order will come into immediate effect,” stated a circular issued yesterday by the Public Security Division under the home ministry, signed by the Division’s deputy secretary Mahbubur Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Special SP of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), SM Rafiqul Islam, has been reassigned to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as SP. Meanwhile, Special SP of CID, AKM Emran Bhuiyan, has been posted to the Industrial Police.
Further changes include the reassignment of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), Md Sazib Khan, to the CID. The SP of the Armed Battalion of Police (APBn), Sudipto Roy, has been transferred to SMP. Additionally, SP of Special Branch (SB), Samrat Mohammad Abu Sufian, will now serve at the Police Headquarters as Assistant Inspector General (AIG).
Moreover, the Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP), Mohammad Badrul Alam Molla, has been transferred to the CID as SP. Similarly, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Mohammad Rahat Gowhari, is now assigned to the In-Service Training Centre in Bandarban.
