Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder
here today said there is no alternative to practicing science as it has become indispensable to
take the country forward.
‘Only a science-oriented nation can take the country forward. Students should give special
attention towards practicing science,’ he said.
Sadhan Chandra Majumder was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the
45th National Science and Technology Fair on Sapahar Upazila Parishad premises
this afternoon.
He said the countries which advanced in science, have developed the most. The
present government is promoting science education among students to build a
Smart Bangladesh, he added.
Sapahar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Masud Hossain chaired the function.
Upazila Chairman Md Shahjahan Hossain, Upazila Assistant Commissioner
(land) Sharmin Jahan Luna and Officer-in-Charge of Sapahar Thana Palash
Chandra Dev were present, among others.
Later, the minister visited different stalls set up by the students on Upazila
Parishad premises.
