Manikganj: Police recovered the hanging body of a schoolteacher from the Singair Poura Sava area of the district. The deceased was identified as Selina Akter, 25, daughter of late Ansar Ali of Angaria village under Singair Poura Sava. She was an assistant teacher at Rupsa Wahed Ali High School in Shibabalaya upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, family members and police reported that Selina’s relatives found her hanging inside her room last night and informed the police. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Singair Police Station Md Mazharul Islam stated that the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Manikganj 250-bed General Hospital for an autopsy.
The OC mentioned that they initially suspected Selina might have died by suicide, but the exact cause of death would be confirmed after receiving the post-mortem report.
