School Students Pledge to Combat Social Issues at Awareness Event.

Gangachara: School students at an awareness discussion today vowed to prevent child marriage, drug abuse, misuse of mobile phones, and activities of teenage gangs to ensure moral education and social security. Gangachara model police station organized the awareness-raising discussion for school students at the Gangachara Government Model High School premises. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by the headmaster of the school, Md Abdul Akhter Miah, with teachers and students in attendance. Sub-inspector (SI) Devid Himadree Barma of Gangachara model police station addressed the gathering, focusing on the prevention of child marriage, drug abuse, misuse of mobile phones, and teenage gangs. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring moral education for social security. SI Himadree highlighted that to achieve these goals, beat officers from various unions under the Gangachara model police station are organizing similar awareness discussions with students in different schools acros s the upazila starting today. All students present at the program took an oath to stop child marriage and prevent drug abuse. In a separate discussion held at Gangachara Aliya Madrasa premises, Officer-in-Charge of Gangachara model police station Md Al Imran stated that the program will continue in all educational institutions to prevent social curses and ensure social security in the upazila.
