Saudi Expatriate Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway

Dhaka: A Saudi expatriate died in a motorcycle crash near the Kuchiamora Bridge on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway today. The deceased was identified as Hridoy Hossain, 27, son of Sayeed Hossain of Abdullahpur village in Keraniganj Upazila.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident also left the pillion rider, Sajjad, 24, injured. Sajjad, son of Rabiul Awal of the Ghoramara area in Sirajdikhan Upazila, has been admitted to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

The motorcycle reportedly lost control on the slope of Kuchiamora Bridge in the Dhaka-bound lane this morning, resulting in the crash into the railing. Hridoy Hossain succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.

Deputy Assistant Director of Munshiganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, mentioned that the crash occurred while the motorcycle was traveling at high speed. Officer-in-Charge of Hasara Highway Police Station, Md Sohel Rana, stated that the body was handed over to Hridoy's family members after completing the initial procedures.
