Dhaka:Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah Zafer Bin Abiyah has emphasized the strong and evolving relationship between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, which is grounded in mutual respect and cooperation. This statement was made during a special message celebrating the 96th Saudi National Day.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Saudi Ambassador hosted a reception in Dhaka to commemorate the national occasion. The event featured LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan as the chief guest, who spoke about the growing bilateral ties. Other attendees included political and business leaders, diplomats, and Opposition Leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
Dr. Abdullah Zafer Bin Abiyah also extended congratulations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the occasion, reflecting on the achievements since the unification of Saudi Arabia. He highlighted the Kingdoms ongoing development under Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on economic transformation and international partnerships.
The Ambassador noted the comprehensive transformation underway in Saudi Arabia, covering sectors such as tourism, culture, and technology. He emphasized the importance of values such as generosity and hospitality, which are integral to Saudi society as it advances towards future goals.
The National Day theme, 'Our Pride Is in Our Nature', underscores the Kingdom's commitment to these values as Saudi Arabia progresses with its Vision 2030 initiatives. With 93% of key performance indicators achieved by 2025, the Kingdom remains focused on economic diversification and sustainable development. This progress includes surpassing the annual target for Umrah pilgrims, welcoming over 18 million from outside Saudi Arabia.
