Sylhet: Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) has opened a condolence book following the death of the country’s three-time Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. SAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Alimul Islam signed the condolence book this afternoon. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to Begum Zia’s bereaved family members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Vice-Chancellor stated that Begum Khaleda Zia made contributions to the country’s education sector alongside her long struggle for democracy. He highlighted her efforts in advancing women’s education.
The condolence book has been made available for faculty members, students, officers, and staff of the university, as well as the general public, to pay their respects.
