Lohagara: A motorcyclist was killed today when his motorcycle collided with a trolley on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in the Padua Sikder area of Lohagara. The deceased was identified as Rezaul Karim, 45, a mason by profession and a resident of Maulvi Para area in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station, Salauddin Chowdhury, stated that the accident occurred when Rezaul was heading from Satkania to Chakaria. As he reached the Padua area, a trolley coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with his motorcycle, throwing him off the motorcycle. He died on the spot.
Police have seized the trolley, and further legal proceedings are underway, he added.
