Saimum Parvez Appointed PM’s Special Assistant on Environment

Dhaka: Saimum Parvez has been appointed as the prime minister’s special assistant on environment, forests, and climate change for a one-year term, with the status of a secretary. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification in this regard today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the appointment has been made on a contractual basis and will be effective for one year from the date of his joining. The notification specifies that he must sever ties with any professional, business, or organizational affiliations-whether public, semi-government, or private-before assuming office.



Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined in accordance with the contract provisions, as stated in the order.
