RU signs MoU with Turkey’s Igdir University

Rajshahi University (RU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turkey's Igdir University aimed at establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education and research. Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar and Rector of Turkey's Igdir University Prof Mehmet Hakki Alma signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at the conference hall of RU's administrative building here today. RU Pro-VCs Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam and Prof Humayun Kabir, Director of Institute of English and Other Languages Prof Abdullah Al Mamun, Director of International Affairs Prof Azizur Rahman and Prof Ibrahim Demirtus from the Igdir University were present. Under the five-year treaty, both the universities can exchange students, teachers and others concerned in terms of science and technology. They can also share post-doctoral researchers, scientific apparatus and other education inputs for scientific research. Apart from this, the MoU has provision of adopting short-term training programmes and joint research projects.
