Gazipur: The district has set a target of vaccinating 381,768 children aged 6 months to 59 months during the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign 2026. It was informed at a press conference at the Gazipur Civil Surgeon’s Office here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the goals, preparations, and to-do items of the Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign 2026 were presented in detail during the press conference. Gazipur Civil Surgeon Dr Mamunur Rahman addressed the event, while Dr Sabrina Mohana made a presentation. Dr Rubana Afsan and Dr Jassem Farhan were among others present at the event.
Dr Mamunur stated that the measles-rubella vaccination program will be conducted at designated centers in the district from 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, April 20. Children will be vaccinated against measles through a total of 936 community and 234 school-based vaccination centers in the district, he added.
