Role of Razzak after assassination of Bangabandhu recalled

CHITTAGONG, Dec 24, 2016 (BSS) - State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP, said former Awami League (AL) general secretary Abdur Razzak was an honest, able and dedicated leader who played important role in every democratic movement of the Bengalee nation from student life till his death.

"Abdur Razzak was a front ranking organizer of Awami League after the assassination of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975," the state minister said while addressing a discussion as chief guest at Muslim Institute Hall here this morning.

On the occasion of fifth death anniversary of the leader 'Jananeta Abdur Razzak Smriti Parisad' organized the function.

Abdur Razzak had worked for establishing the rights of the people until his death, he added.

Rashed Monwar, convener of Jananeta Abdur Razzak Smriti Parisad, presided over the function while Muktijuddah Golam Rabbani, South district AL vice President Mohammad Idris, Abul Kalam Chowdhury, AL leaders Khurshed Alam, Moshiur Rahman, Abu Tayob and Anwara Upazila Chairman Touhidul Hoque Chowdhury, among other,s addressed it.
