Ashulia: Police arrested a member of a robber gang with a pistol while he was preparing for a robbery at Gowripur in Ashulia last night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Model Police Station Abdul Hannan stated that the police apprehended Mirza Rubel alias Sumon, 45, with a pistol during the operation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team from Ashulia Thana conducted an operation and arrested Rubel while he was preparing to commit a robbery in front of Natural Nursery on Sadarpur Road in Ashulia’s Gouripur area. The authorities reported that Rubel, who is from Tangail district, had long been involved in robbery activities.
