Kuala Lumpur:The growing demand for the new-generation MyKad has heightened the responsibilities of the National Registration Department (JPN) in addressing challenges related to issuance, systems, customer flow, and service delivery.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, JPN's director-general, Datuk Badrul Hisham Alias, noted that the positive public response and interest in the new MyKad indicate that Malaysians value their identity documents.
He emphasized that the department's role is to improve processes, manage congestion, identify causes of delays, and engage with the public to clarify any confusion. The focus is on finding solutions rather than defending problems.
Badrul Hisham also acknowledged the dedication of JPN staff, who consistently work at counters, in production, and behind the scenes to ensure quality services for the public.
