Dhaka: The government has extended the contractual appointment of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Chairman Md. Rezaul Karim for another year. Contract and Foreign Recruitment Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification specifies that under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018, the contractual appointment of Md. Rezaul Karim as Chairman of the BPDB has been extended for one year. This decision involves suspending his post-retirement leave (PRL) and related benefits.
The government order indicates that the extension will be effective from the date of his joining as chairman, allowing him to serve in the position for the next year. The notification further mentioned that other terms and conditions of the appointment will be finalized through a separate contract.
