Dhaka: Remittance inflow from expatriate Bangladeshis has seen a notable rise of 18.60% in the first 21 days of July during the fiscal year 2025-26, reaching around US$1696 million. This growth indicates a robust engagement by the expatriates in bolstering the country's economy through their financial contributions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the daily average remittance during this period was US$80.76 million. This substantial increase reflects a positive trend compared to the same period last year, when the remittance inflow stood at US$1430 million. Bangladesh Bank's latest data underscores the significant role remittances play in supporting Bangladesh's economic framework.
