Remittance Inflow Sees Significant 14.8% Growth in July-August

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a 14.8 percent growth, reaching US$4,707 million during the period from July 1 to August 30, 2025, compared to $4,101 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the latest data from Bangladesh Bank (BB) revealed that during the first 30 days of August 2025, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $2,229 million. This figure showed an increase from $2,187 million recorded during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The rise in remittances is seen as a positive development and reflects the continued commitment of expatriates to support their families and contribute to the country’s economy. The data highlights the importance of remittances as a key source of foreign exchange for Bangladesh.
