Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 11.6 percent, reaching US$343 million in the first three days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today. Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $307 million.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July 2025 to September 3, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $5,242 million. This figure represents a significant increase compared to the $4,445 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
The rise in remittance inflow indicates an upward trend in the financial contributions from expatriates, crucial for the country's economy and supporting the foreign exchange reserves.
