Dhaka: Education Adviser C R Abrar announced today that a recommendation has been made to recruit 41,000 teachers at the secondary and higher secondary levels through the Non-government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA). This development is part of the 6th recruitment recommendation activities organized by the NTRCA.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Abrar highlighted that the recommendation aims to fill 41,000 teaching positions from a total of 100,822 vacancies across the country. This recruitment follows a rigorous process involving 18,65,719 applicants for the 18th teachers’ recruitment examination. Out of these, 13,40,833 candidates participated in the preliminary test, but only 4,79,981 qualified.
Dr. Abrar further detailed that 3,48,680 candidates proceeded to the written test, where 83,865 emerged successful. Subsequently, 81,209 candidates attended the viva voce, with 60,634 passing this final stage. He emphasized the importance of selecting meritorious, competent, and skilled teachers through NTRCA to nurture future generations into responsible citizens.
In addition, Dr. Abrar mentioned plans to enhance the digital transformation of the teacher recruitment process to ensure it remains fair and acceptable.
