Dhaka: Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Bangladesh, Yousef S.Y. Ramadan, paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan at the university office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, both parties discussed several issues, including the admission of Palestinian students to Dhaka University and the provision of scholarships. The Palestinian ambassador sought cooperation from DU authorities in facilitating scholarships for Palestinian students.
The ambassador also briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the overall situation in Palestine, highlighting the Israeli brutalities, genocide, and inhuman activities. He expressed gratitude to the people of Bangladesh for their support of the Palestinian cause.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan assured the ambassador of taking all possible measures to provide scholarships to Palestinian students. He also condemned the Israeli brutal attacks and killings of Palestinian people.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Yousef S.Y. Ramadan delivered a special lecture titled ‘Gaza: The Genocide of the 21st Century Happening Live before the World’s Eyes’ at the DU Arabic Department.
