RCC Allocates Tk 5 Lakh for Baitul Mamur Mosque Development

Rajshahi: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has allocated Taka five lakh for the development of Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque at Mizaner Mor, which has been affected by ongoing road development work in the city. The donation was presented by RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton during a visit to the mosque for the Jummah prayer.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after the prayer, Riton handed over the cheque for Taka five lakh to the mosque committee leaders on behalf of RCC. Riton also assured continued support for the mosque’s overall development and the provision of better facilities for worshippers.



During his address, the RCC Administrator mentioned that directives have been issued for the development and modernization of religious institutions, including mosques, madrasas, and churches. RCC is committed to enhancing civic services and infrastructure in the city. He also highlighted that necessary development works in Ward No. 29, such as roads and drains, would be implemented in phases.



Riton urged the community to extend their cooperation, expressing a collective ambition to elevate Rajshahi’s status on the global stage. The event was attended by various officials, including RCC Chief Executive Officer Md. Rezaul Karim and Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Moin Parag, alongside other RCC officials, mosque committee leaders, local BNP leaders, and worshippers.
