Rajshahi:The Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, announced that the City Corporation is committed to supporting the development of religious institutions, including mosques, madrasas, and temples. This initiative follows directives from Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Riton made these remarks while attending Jumma prayers at the Alupatti Sadar Jame Masjid in Rajshahi. He emphasized his dedication to serving the city’s residents by enhancing development and civic services.
During the visit, Riton inspected ongoing renovation work at the mosque and madrasa, discussing progress and other relevant issues with those involved. He assured that the necessary cooperation would be provided to aid the mosque's development.
The inspection was attended by members of the Mosque Management Committee, including President Advocate Ashraf Hossain, Secretary Ashraful Islam Bulbul, Vice-President Dr. Hasanuzzaman Hasu, Joint Secretary Sirajul Islam, and Treasurer Sadikul Islam. RCC Executive Engineer Mahmudur Rahman, Assistant Engineers Yusuf Ali Isha and Md. Afzalul Hossain Tarek, Architect Zahurul Anwar Ananta, and other engineers were also present.
