Rajshahi: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) today inspected the ongoing construction of the Gorhanga Rail Crossing flyover and Shalbagan kitchen market under the Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development Project. The inspection was led by Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton of RCC.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the visit, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton reviewed the progress of various project segments. He directed the authorities to clear construction materials blocking roads within seven days to facilitate public movement. Additionally, he instructed concerned officials to expedite the completion of all ongoing works, including the flyover construction.
The RCC administrator highlighted that steps have been initiated to improve cleanliness, drainage, and mosquito control as part of short-term action plans. These efforts are aimed at building a clean and green city. During the inspection, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton also sought cooperation from footpath vendors to keep sidewalks free from encroachment.
Present during the inspection were RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmad Al Moin Parag, Executive Engineer Mahmudur Rahman Imon, among others.
