Rangpur Residents Unite in Prayers for Khaleda Zia’s Recovery

Rangpur: The common people of Rangpur from all walks of life firmly believe that Almighty Allah will surely hear their prayers and grant a speedy recovery to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, various individuals in Rangpur city, including students, teachers, youth, auto-rickshaw drivers, shopkeepers, daily wage workers, housewives, fishermen, and blacksmiths, expressed deep respect for Khaleda Zia and wished her a speedy recovery.



Hafizur Rahman, a vegetable seller at Rangpur City Market, described Khaleda Zia as an uncompromising leader and a patriot who contributed significantly to Bangladesh during her three terms as Prime Minister. Rahman emphasized the critical period the nation is experiencing and the need for leadership from a nationalist leader like Khaleda Zia to navigate these challenges.



Professor Dr. Tuhin Wadud of Bangla at Begum Rokeya University noted the unprecedented unity in prayers for Khaleda Zia’s recovery in a typically divided society. He expressed hope for her recovery and continued service to the nation in rebuilding institutions after the fall of the previous regime.



Alhaj Isahaque Ali, a teacher at Kathihara Ekramia Dakhil Madrasa, highlighted the adversities faced by Khaleda Zia due to enmity from the ousted regime but expressed faith in Allah as the ultimate judge. Ali believes that Khaleda Zia will recover soon.



College student Muhaimenul Islam and auto-rickshaw driver Mahbub Hossain both reiterated the respect and patriotism associated with Khaleda Zia and her late husband, Ziaur Rahman. They expressed their belief in Allah’s mercy for her recovery and protection for her family.



Grocery shop proprietor Mizanur Rahman reflected on the nation’s victory through the July student-public Mass Uprising and the need for Khaleda Zia’s leadership to rebuild the country. Farm-laborer Taslim Uddin and mason Abu Bakkar echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the ongoing need for Khaleda Zia’s leadership.



Youth Aminur Rahman and housewife Fatema Khatun shared their prayers for Khaleda Zia’s recovery, highlighting the desire for a fascism-free Bangladesh and development under her leadership. Fishermen Dulu Mia, Abdul Jalil, and Golam Mostafa expressed their confidence in Allah granting Khaleda Zia full recovery for a prosperous future for Bangladesh.
