Rajshahi: The match between Rangpur and Barishal in the fifth round of the National Cricket League (NCL) concluded in a draw at Rajshahi Cricket Stadium today. This was the only match in the current round of the NCL that resulted in a draw. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Barishal resumed Day 4 at 119-1 and managed to score 358 before being all out, setting a 363-run target for Rangpur. Rangpur, however, reached 24 for no loss before the match ended for the day. Barishal's innings were bolstered by three half-centuries, with opener Iftekhar Hossain Ifti scoring the highest with 87 runs. Salman Emon contributed 69 runs, and another opener, Abdul Mazid, added 52 runs to the total. Rangpur's Mukidul Islam Mugdho claimed three wickets for 53 runs, while Captain Akbar Ali took two wickets for 22 runs. In the first innings, Barishal posted a score of 336 before being bowled out, gaining a 14-run lead after Rangpur was dismissed for 322.
