RAJUK chairman pays tributes to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

Chairman of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Major General (retired) Dr Siddiqur Rahman Sarker today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj. After laying the wreath, the chairman stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation. Later, he offered prayer for eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975. A special prayer was also offered seeking longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members. The chairman also signed the visitors' book at the Tungipara Mausoleum Complex. Senior officials of RAJUK, Tungipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Mainul Haque, Tungipara Municipality Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, Upazila Engineer of Tungipara Sheikh Ziaul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tungipara Police Station Khandaker Aminul Rahman, among others, were present.
