Rangpur: The admission test for ‘C’ Unit of the first-year degree (honors) course of Rajshahi University for the academic year 2025-2026 was held in two shifts at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) on Friday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the admission test for ‘C’ Unit was conducted simultaneously at six regional centers across the country. A BRUR press release highlighted that in the first shift from 11 am to 12 noon, 2,321 candidates appeared for the exam at the BRUR center, 3,284 candidates at Cantonment Public School and College center, and 1,307 candidates at Millennium Stars School and College center in Rangpur. The overall attendance rate at these three exam centers stood at 93.76%.
In the second shift, held from 3 pm to 4 pm, 3,168 candidates took the exam at the BRUR center, 3,308 candidates at the Cantonment Public School and College center, and 1,307 candidates at the Millennium Stars School and College center. The total attendance rate of candidates at these centers was recorded at 94.53%.
BRUR Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md Showkat Ali visited the BRUR exam center. After the inspection, he informed reporters that the Rajshahi University admission test was conducted in a fair environment at the BRUR center. He noted that candidates from the entire northern region, including Rangpur, could take the exam at the three centers in Rangpur city, which saved them time and money. He expressed satisfaction with the attendance rate at the three centers for the ‘C’ unit admission test and extended his gratitude to all involved, including teachers, officers, and employees, for their orderly conduct in managing the admission test.
Present during the event were Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr. Md Mizanur Rahman, Professor of the Department of Agronomy and Agricultural Extension of Rajshahi University Dr. Md. Aminul Haque, BRUR Registrar Dr. Md Harun-or Rashid, Proctor Dr. Md Ferdous Rahman, among others.
