Rajshahi: The government has appointed a new divisional commissioner in Rajshahi and new deputy commissioners (DCs) in Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur districts. The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard on Wednesday night.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Md Yusuf Ali, member-director (additional secretary) of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, has been appointed as the new divisional commissioner of Rajshahi. Deputy Secretary at the Posts and Telecommunications Division Ms Sumoni Akter has been appointed DC of Natore. Dr Md Moniruzzaman, private secretary to the Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, has been appointed DC of Gaibandha. Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Israt Jahan has been appointed the new DC of Rangpur.
On Tuesday night, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent posting. Meanwhile, Natore DC Asma Shaheen, Gaibandha DC Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mollah, and Rangpur DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin were attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent posting.
