Rain with Lightning Flashes Likely in Parts of Country

Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are expected in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Met office stated that these weather conditions are likely to occur at a few places over the Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over the Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, and Dhaka divisions.



Additionally, the Met office indicated that the weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country. There is no significant change predicted for day and night temperatures across the nation.



On the previous day, the country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga in the Khulna division and Sandwip in the Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius in Tetulia in the Rangpur division. The sun is set to set today at 6:19 pm and rise at 5:39 am tomorrow in the capital.
