Rain or Thundershowers Likely Over Bangladesh: BMD

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD’s meteorological bulletin issued this morning forecasts that these weather phenomena are expected to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions. The bulletin also highlights that moderately heavy to heavy falls are anticipated at places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.



The bulletin further indicates that both day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Dimla, Rangpur station, while the minimum temperature today was noted at 24.1 degrees Celsius in Bandarban, Chattogram station.



For residents in the capital, the sun is set to dip below the horizon at 06:50 pm today and will rise again at 05:14 am tomorrow.
