Rain Forecasted Across Bangladesh Over Next 24 Hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am. "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the weather bulletin also indicated that moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at isolated spots across the country. Despite the anticipated rains, the day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged. The highest temperature recorded on Saturday was 36.8 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi, while the minimum temperature today is 23 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

In the last 24 hours, Sylhet experienced the highest rainfall, recording 33 millimeters. Residents in Dhaka can expect the sun to set at 6:25 pm today and rise at 5:37 am tomorrow.
