Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am. ‘Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions,’ said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, as mentioned in the bulletin. The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Narsingdi, while today’s minimum temperature dropped to 23.4 degrees Celsius in Tangail. The sun sets at 6:43 pm today and rises at 5:27 am tomorrow in the capital.
