Rain Forecast Across Bangladesh as BMD Predicts Wet Weather

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. A Met office bulletin issued this morning indicated that light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions may experience similar weather with moderately heavy to very heavy falls anticipated in Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin also stated that day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country. The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Ishurdi under the Rajshahi division, while the minimum temperature today was 19 degrees Celsius in Tetulia and Sylhet.



In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall was recorded at 134 millimeters in Srimangal under the Sylhet division. The sun is expected to set at 6:28 pm today and will rise at 5:23 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
