Jakarta:Rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are anticipated in many areas of the country over the next 24 hours, beginning at 900 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has indicated that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, and Sylhet divisions, with some occurrences in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.
Moderately heavy rainfall is expected in some areas nationwide. Additionally, both day and night temperatures may experience a slight drop across the country.
The BMD bulletin notes that the monsoon remains fairly active over southern and eastern parts of Bangladesh, while it is weak over the northern Bay of Bengal. The southwest monsoon has already withdrawn from the western part of the country and is expected to withdraw from other areas within the next 24 hours.
The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 34.5 degrees Celsius in Ramgati of Lakshmipur and Feni, while the lowest temperature today was 20.5 degrees Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh. In Dhaka, winds are blowing from the south and southwest at speeds of 5 to 10 kilometers per hour, with relative humidity recorded at 89 percent at 600 am today.
Ishwardi experienced the highest rainfall in the country over the last 24 hours, with 63 millimeters recorded. In Dhaka, sunset will occur at 538 pm today, while sunrise tomorrow is expected at 553 am.
