Rabiul Urges Safe, Comfortable Eid Journey

Gazipur: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam today called upon the transport owners and workers to put their best efforts to make the Eid journey safe and comfortable. He made the call while addressing a road safety and public awareness meeting in the Kharajora area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Alam emphasized the importance of the Chandra intersection area, identifying it as the only easy gateway to the northern region. He urged all concerned parties to collaborate to ensure a smooth journey for Eid holidaymakers passing through this area.

Addressing the demand for a bus terminal in the Chandra intersection area, the Minister stated that discussions are ongoing. "Insha Allah, we will carry out these developments together with the people of this region," he said. Works are also underway to repair several damaged sections on the Dhaka-Tangail highway.

State Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid, Pabna-5 constituency MP Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, Gazipur-1 MP Mujibur Rahman, senior government officials, and leaders of transport workers were present at the meeting. Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan chaired the event.
