Dinajpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has successfully seized a 9.25-kg touchstone idol and apprehended two individuals suspected of smuggling activities in the Dinajpur district. The operation took place in the village of Bherbheri Amrat Shah, under the jurisdiction of the Khansama police station.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Crime Prevention Company-1, an operational team from the RAB-13's Dinajpur camp, executed a raid on a house in the mentioned village. Acting on a tip-off, the team conducted the operation at 1:05 pm on Monday, resulting in the seizure of the touchstone idol and the arrest of the two suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Abdul Majed, aged 50, hailing from Bherbheri Amrat Shah village, and Md Ali Azam, aged 65, from Bhogdoma village under the Birganj police station in Dinajpur district. The RAB has transferred custody of the suspects, along with the seized touchstone idol, to the Khansama police station for further legal proceedings.
