Dumki: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice Chairman and former Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury today announced that the BNP is set to form a people’s government through a landslide victory in the forthcoming national elections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chowdhury stated that the party’s Acting Chairman, Tarique Rahman, will return to lead the election campaign. The remarks were made during a view-exchange meeting with BNP leaders and activists at Jaigunnecha Secondary School in Muradia Union, Dumki, as preparations intensify for the national elections.
Chowdhury expressed the BNP’s commitment to building a prosperous country and confirmed the party’s readiness to participate in the elections scheduled for February. He also highlighted the BNP’s collaboration with the interim government to ensure the elections occur as planned.
The meeting saw participation from former acting general secretary of Patuakhali district BNP, Md Maksud Ahmed Bayezid (Panna), and Joint General Secretary of the Central Committee of Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal, Md Mojibur Rahman, who attended as special guests.
Presiding over the meeting was former acting general secretary and ex-joint convener of Dumki Upazila BNP, Md Jasim Uddin Hawlader, while former joint convener Md Matiur Rahman Dipu conducted the session.
