Dinajpur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today recovered a foreign revolver with five rounds of bullets and a large quantity of drugs from a bordering village under Sadar Upazila of the district. Senior Assistant Director of RAB-13 Additional Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Goswami informed journalists that acting on a tip-off, they conducted a raid at a house in Kanok Kuri village of Komolpur union under Sadar upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the raid, the RAB team found a foreign revolver loaded with five rounds of bullets, 185 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets, 17 bottles of foreign liquor, and three ampoules of drug injections at the residence of Md Sagor Babu, age 22, son of Md Anwar Hossain. The accused, Sagor Babu, managed to escape the scene after sensing the presence of RAB personnel. The RAB official stated that efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
The RAB officials have filed two separate cases concerning the recovery of arms, ammunition, and drugs with Sadar Thana.
