QF blood donation crosses 1.6 units in 2 decades

DHAKA, Quantum Foundation (QF) has been able to

provide 1.6 million unit bloods in the last two decades.

The information was disclosed during a reception to blood donors, organised

by QF as part of its regular programme at the IDEB Bhaban today, a press

release said.

Since inception of the Quayum Lab, 16, 05763 units blood support have been

given to delicate patients during the period, the release added.

State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura

attended the programme as the chief guest with QF Chief Coordinator Nahar Al

Bokhari in the chair.

Director Motivation of QF M Rezaul Hasan also spoke.

The speakers said number of regular and occasional volunteer blood donors of

the QF is above 500,000.

Expressing gratitude to their contribution, the speakers said their sacrifice

has helped achieve the number of 1.6 million units.

On the occasion, the QF honored more than 300 blood donors for becoming the

members of lifetime, silver, golden and platinum clubs for donating t
hree

times, 10 times, 25 times and 50 times respectively.

The chief guest handed over certificates, crests and medals to the blood

donors.

QF, through various programmes, inspires around 2,000 new people to donate

blood every month.

Due to this effort, on average 100,000 units blood and blood contents can be

provided to the people in need every year.
