Chittagong: Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma has emphasized that a fair and credible electoral environment cannot be ensured by CCTV cameras or technology alone; rather, it requires sincerity and purity of mind from all concerned. He urged the people of the country to change their negative thinking and stressed the importance of securing a ‘Yes’ victory in Referendum 2026 to maintain the pace of development.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser made these remarks while attending a views-exchange meeting on the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election and Referendum 2026 at the conference room of Magura Circuit House. He expressed that, in the interest of change for the people, the Chief Adviser has called for making the referendum successful, adding, “This country is ours, so we must work together for the welfare of the nation.”
