Dhaka: The government has announced a public holiday in the three hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban on April 13 to mark the occasion of Chaitra Sankranti.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Public Administration Ministry released a gazette notification confirming this decision. The notification also mentioned that apart from the three hill districts, other concerned communities across different parts of the country will have the option to observe an optional holiday on this day.
