Rangpur: Political Assistant to the Prime Minister, Rashed Khan, has announced an increase in public confidence in government healthcare services, which has led to a higher number of patients seeking treatment at government hospitals.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rashed Khan attributed this rise in confidence to the government's prioritization of education and health, alongside increased budget allocations and development activities in these sectors. Khan shared these insights during a visit to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RpMCH) earlier today.
Khan highlighted ongoing government efforts to enhance healthcare quality, develop infrastructure, and expand modern medical facilities. He underscored the importance of modernizing government hospitals with advanced technology, noting that private hospital treatments are financially inaccessible for many citizens.
During his visit, Khan toured various wards and departments at RpMCH, taking the opportunity to inquire about the services being provided to patients. He emphasized the necessity of increasing the capacity of government hospitals to ensure quality, affordable healthcare.
The visit was attended by Rangpur District Council Administrator Md Saiful Islam, RpMCH Director Brigadier General Md Ashiqur Rahman, Rangpur Medical College Principal Professor Dr Md Anwar Hossain, as well as senior BNP leaders and other officials.
