PSC Gets 3 New Members

Dhaka: The government has appointed three new members to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), raising the total number of commission members to 18.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the newly appointed members are Professor Dr. M Amjad Hossain of Rajshahi University, Professor Dr. Muhammad Shaheen Chowdhury of University of Chattogram, and former secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare Dr. Md Mohiuddin. The appointments were made through separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.



The notifications indicated that the President appointed the new members under Article 138 (1) of the Constitution. The appointment order specifies that the new members will remain in office for five years from the date of assumption or until they reach 65 years of age, whichever comes earlier.
