The High Court today granted six-week anticipatory bail to Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA).
A High Court division bench of Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Md Aminul Islam passed the order after holding hearing on the bail plea filed by the Prothom Alo editor.
Senior advocate Fida M Kamal, ZI Khan Panna, Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Prashanta Kumar Karmakar moved the bail plea before the court, while Additional Attorney General Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury and Deputy Attorney General Sujit Chatterjee stood for the state.
