Manikganj: Proshika, a human development-focused non-governmental organization (NGO), today announced its budget of Taka 4,543.57 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26. The budget was unveiled at a day-long workshop held at the Koitta Training Center in the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manikganj Deputy Commissioner Dr. Manwar Hossein Malla attended the event as the chief guest, while National Press Club President and Editor of Daily Kaler Kantho, Poet Hasan Hafiz, delivered the keynote speech. In his speech, Poet Hasan Hafiz highlighted the historical significance of the July-August Uprising, emphasizing the sacrifices made for the country's progress. He warned against ongoing conspiracies aimed at destabilizing Bangladesh and urged the government and citizens to be vigilant.
The workshop also featured special guests including Deputy Managing Director of PKSF Md Moshiur Rahman, kidney and medicine specialist Prof Md Abdus Samad, and Saturia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Iqbal Hossain. Proshika President Miz Rokeya Islam presided over the programme, with notable attendees such as Chief Executive Sirajul Islam, Deputy Chief Executive Quamrul Hasan, and Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, along with other Proshika officials and field-level workers.
