Project Work Must Be Completed in Scheduled Time: Farooq E Azam

Dhaka: Liberation War Affairs Adviser Farooq E Azam, Bir Pratik, today issued directives for timely completion of the ministry’s development projects. He emphasized the need for maintaining quality standards to ensure that there are no complaints regarding the projects, as stated in a press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser made these remarks during the annual development meeting for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, which will continue until April 2025. He highlighted the importance of preventing irregularities in project implementation, asserting that such issues would not be tolerated.



Farooq E Azam stressed that public welfare should be prioritized when taking on and implementing projects. He pointed out that project funds must not be wasted, and cautioned that any delays in project completion could lead to increased costs, which is undesirable.



He urged officials to put forth their best efforts to complete the projects within the allotted time. The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has nine projects planned for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, with a total budget allocation of Taka 931.40 crore.



The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Israt Chowdhury, along with heads of various departments and organizations under the ministry and project directors.
