Prof Yunus Urges Embassies’ Assistance for Treatment of July-August Revolution Injured.

Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has proposed seeking help from embassies to facilitate medical treatment abroad for those injured during the July-August revolution. He made this suggestion during a meeting of the July Shaheed Srimiti Foundation, emphasizing the importance of preparing detailed medical history reports for the critically injured.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Yunus highlighted that many embassy officials present in Bangladesh during the revolutionary months have expressed sympathy towards the injured. He conveyed confidence that these officials would be willing to offer assistance. The chief adviser’s press wing quoted him as saying that embassy support could be pivotal in ensuring better treatment for those affected.

Prof Yunus underscored the urgency of compiling comprehensive medical reports for the injured individuals. The meeting, which took place at the State Guest House Jamuna, was the third central executive council meeting of the July Shaheed Smriti Fou
ndation. It was presided over by Prof Yunus and attended by Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdha, and General Secretary Sarjis Alam.
