Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his historic victory in the US presidential election. "I am delighted to convey, on behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh, my heartfelt felicitations to you on your victory in the US Presidential Election 2024," Yunus expressed in a congratulatory message, highlighting the significance of Trump's re-election. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Yunus emphasized that electing Trump as the US President for a second term indicates that his leadership and vision resonate with the American populace. He expressed confidence that under Trump's leadership, the United States will continue to thrive and inspire others globally. Prof Yunus also reminisced about the excellent relations between Bangladesh and the US, noting the long history of friendship and collaboration across various mutual interests. He acknowledged that the relationship deepened during Trump's previous term in office and ex pressed optimism about further strengthening their partnership. The Chief Adviser expressed eagerness to explore new avenues of partnership and foster sustainable development between the two nations.
