Prof Saleh Ahammad Made New JUJA Adviser

Dhaka: Professor Dr. Saleh Ahammad Khan of the Botany department has been nominated as the adviser of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA) for the next one-year term. The JUJA executive committee made this decision during an emergency meeting held last night, as stated in a press release signed by JUJA office and publication secretary Mah Alam.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Saleh will succeed the outgoing adviser, Professor Dr. Laek Sazzad Andallah from the Mathematics department. Professor Saleh has an extensive academic background, having completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Master of Science (M.Sc) at the Botany department of Jahangirnagar University. He began his teaching career at the university as a Lecturer in 1995.



Furthering his academic pursuits, Professor Saleh obtained his PhD degree from the University of Bayreuth in Germany in 2007. In addition to his recent appointment as the JUJA adviser, he is also currently serving as the acting Controller of Examinations at Jahangirnagar University.
