Kishoreganj: Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a Jubo League leader from the Nagua area of the district town in the early hours of today for allegedly attacking protesters during the student-led mass uprising. The arrestee is Md Helal Uddin, convener of the Jubo League’s Pakundia upazila unit.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting on a tip-off, RAB personnel conducted a drive in the area and detained Helal. Later, he was handed over to the local police. He is accused in three separate cases filed with Pakundia Police Station, said Md Ashraful Kabir, camp commander of RAB-14, Kishoreganj.
